I have become a grandmother for the fourth time! I welcome Rory, my second granddaughter born 3 days before Christmas 2021 to son Colin and daughter in law Laura in Columbia SC.

Life goes on after a devastating loss of your loved one. My healing continues.

Geoff Egge and I have been partners for a couple of years now.

Rachel’s Network Joins Amicus Brief Demanding Equal Rights Amendment be Enshrined in Constitution

In January 2020, Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), but the federal government refuses to enshrine it in the US Constitution. Rachel’s Network, along with founder Winsome McIntosh’s McIntosh Foundation, have filed a legal brief supporting three states in their lawsuit against the federal government for failing to uphold the ERA.

I've been sequestered in my beach house in Mexico Beach, FL since mid March! Just steps from the beach ain't all bad. Able to continue my work from my home office here. I'm also lucky that another 62 graduate and I (Geoff Egge) have been seeing each other for about 2 years now since our spouses died of cancer in the past 5 years after both of us were married for 48 years! It is a comfort to both of us to increasingly spend more time together in our long distance relationship. Who knew??? I've added a photo of our continuing stay in Florida. Stay safe everyone. These are indeed scary times.

So proud of all your accomplishments Winsome! I'm with you on the ratification of the ERA, (I still have my ERA button from years ago, along with a few other old political buttons). You're one of the few classmates I know of who remains enthusiastic about working for women and change, I only wish we lived closer so I might join you in your endeavors but I do stay involved with our local Democratic organization as much as possible. Keep up the good work! Barb

I'm deeply involved in promoting and planning the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to our Constitution. Could be a 10 year effort, but I'm committed to seeing this recognized in my lifetime on behalf of my only grand daughter so far! Stay tuned.
